How to Make Gluten Free Monkey Bread
Music: http://www.purple-planet.com
I came up with this recipe because I could not find a gluten free monkey bread recipe that I liked and I was craving it so much. Once I made this, it instantly became a favorite in my house and my kids get so excited when I make it. I can only make it a few times a year considering all the butter and sugar that goes into it but when we get it, we enjoy it to the fullest!
I use Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour in this recipe but any other cup for cup gluten free flour blend should work. It starts out with an easy biscuit dough recipe and then comes the butter and sugar. Since the biscuit dough doesn't have any sugar in it and a bit of salt, it actually cuts the sweetness and just gives it a great flavor. It is not overpowering but don't eat too much at once. We try to pace ourselves with this dessert but it is sometimes difficult to do because it is so good! My kids go crazy when I make it and when I bring it with me to share, there are definitely no leftovers. Make sure to really grease the pan because you don't want any of that great bread sticking to the pan.
