Pole Fishing For Carp Using Pellet - Sloppy Pellet
For this latest episode we took the cameras down to Cobbleacre Lakes in Norfolk for a short session after work. Opting to fish one of the match lakes on the complex, we were hoping for a few fish on the pole.
With only a limited amount of time we wanted a method which would work very quickly and after a think and a little deliberation Steve picked out a method/bait that is known as 'sloppy pellet', which is a take on the already popular method of ground bait and worm.
'Sloppy Pellet' was a method that Steve had stumbled across whilst fishing the method feeder, after forgetting to drain his soaking pellets he was left with a sloppy mush, which he quickly discarded in the margins.
Forgetting about this slop he carried on fishing the feeder as planned, only to stop half way through the session and notice a large number of tails and feeding fish over the slop he'd deposited early.
Always striving for new methods baits and techniques Steve went home and started to think about how this slop could be used in his angling armoury. It didn't take him long and soon he was using it and most importantly catching fish on it!
In this video he explains more about the method and technique, so if you'd like to know more then watch on...!
