I’ve talked about this piece before but I wanted to touch on it again.
This Bulova piece is representative of the amazing historical piece shown here in the link below!

This is an excellent piece of history and the Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph is an excellent representation of Commander Dave Scott’s piece that was worn not only in orbit but also on the moon and while piloting the lunar rover!
Yes. The production piece is a quartz, it has a new date window, and yes it is a little larger than its astronaut used prototype.
However, it’s 2018. I’m not going to the moon, I like being able to grab and go without having to set and wind everything I own, & and I like knowing what the date is T the flick of the wrist.
Also, if you prefer a no date option, Bulova produces a no date one as well.
In the end, I feel the significance of the prototype worn by Scott justifies this production piece. Being a piece worn on the outside of a spacesuit justifies its size, and it’s great price justifies it as a possible addition to any Chronograph or space fanatic like myself.
