receipe for: { orange chicken and fried horn green peppers. } Serves: 4 people. Prep time: 15 min. Cook time: 90 min. Ingredients: 1 large chicken ,4 cups of olive oil, 1 clove of garlic, 1 stick of fresh rosemary,3 oranges,1 lemon,pepper and salt to taste,1 cup of apple vinegar. Process: preheat oven at 360F or 180C for 10 min. 1) in a dutch oven,place your chicken ,
in its belly put in one of the oranges(after you have pricked it with knife).Place the clove of garlic and the fresh rosemary as well. 2) Drizzle your chicken all over very well with 1/2 cup of olive oil,and message it well. 3)Salt and pepper your chicken very well all around.4) Squeeze the juice of the oranges and the lemon pulp also and pour it on the chicken,also the cups of the oranges and the lemon.5)Cover with the lid and roast till golden brown .(check on it after 60 min,it will be done over all in 90 min.6) For the green peppers.In a medium pot,poure in 3 cups of olive oil,your stove should be at this point on high.7)When the oil has heated,place 4 peppers at a time,when you see them sweat,turn them over and put the lid over them,decrees your stove to medium high.8)when they have a golden color take them out,and finish the others in the same way.9)Drizzle the peppers with vinegar ,salt and black pepper. 10)Left overs: I promise you wont have any!
