Hi everyone! For this week's video I'm collaborating with 3 other incredibly creative MUAs to turn ourselves into literal art pieces - in a collaboration called Makeup is Art. Makeup simply isn't a way to enhance your beauty; it can actually be an art form too!
Please do check out everyone who collaborated with me on this video; they're all so incredibly talented and creative, and I'm honored to be collaborating with them! And don't forget to hit like and add a comment if you really liked it :3

For this look I wanted to create something inspired by impressionism, which was an art movement that interested me a lot in high school. The main thing I enjoyed was that up close, it looked very sloppy and it was hard to see what the subject was about. View it from afar though and the picture becomes more clear, and all of those brush strokes come together to create a cohesive piece.
So I decided to do this technique on my face, sticking with mostly a yellow palette and only using cream makeup to create it. To decide where to place shadows and light, I simply referenced where I usually placed contours and highlights when I do my "normal" makeup. Other than that, it's actually pretty simple. This was actually one of my shortest makeup looks to date - it took me an hour to complete it.
I only used cream paints from the Make Up Flash Palette for this look, but this isn't necessary. I do like these paints because they are thicker than other paints, however.
Thanks for watching everyone! Next week I will be returning to my Makeup in Mythology series, creating a Dark Elf look :)
