LET'S PLANT!
EP 71 - Using nature as a design inspiration on your garden

A lot of things happened during the past couple of weeks, leading to me getting some inspiration for the look of the Patreon shrine.

My main design inspiration came in the form of "The Twelve Apostles", a rock formation along the Great Ocean Road in southwest Victoria. These are rock pillars along the coast, and their colours remind me of my garden. With them in mind, I set out looking for bowls that are earth-coloured, and have lines, as if looking like they have been eroded by the elements. I found a bunch of large greige bowls and brought them home.

Acting on the suggestions from a previous installment, I reworked the pedestals before working on the next phase of the design involving the bowls.

After spending the whole afternoon digging, carrying, shifting, and playing with Zach, I finally managed to get the whole thing base work done.

Now all I need to do is to find the plants to go in it!
