Honoring your commitments
What does it mean to honor your commitment? Are people committed to their goals? It's hard to say, however it depends on the individual. Often people commit to things and make commitments and then change their mind. Individuals should consider the value of honoring one's commitment.
Discovering your why
Honoring your commitments is not as easy as it may sound, in other words you need to know your why. What is the reason you are making this commitment, and what are the benefits of it. You see, if you have obligations and commitments to people you love, it becomes less of a challenge to follow through. Sometimes we have to have extra incentives. You should also look at how honoring your commitments will enhance your relationships.
Keeping your word
When keeping your word it allows individuals to believe in you. Think about every time you have honored your commitments what it meant to you and others. It probably made you feel good, and gave you a sense of accomplishment. This what you can consider a small victory, which builds your self-esteem.
Integrity
Think about a time in your life where a person didn't keep their word. How did it affect your relationship? Can the relationship be repaired? Why or why not? Even if a person is willing to forgive, does not mean they can forget. It is beneficial and healthy as it relates to relationships to honor your commitments, because it allows individuals to grow.
