A school in Carahue, in the Araucania region, has set up school vans to be used as classrooms to teach students living in remote rural areas, as seen on Tuesday.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some students have been affected by their inability to attend lessons online and their parents not being able to provide home schooling.

To alleviate this situation, the 'Dream House' school has developed this project, called “mobile classroom,” in which teachers travel to the students' houses in school vans kitted out with educational supplies.

"The children who are helped with this project are around 25 students of a total of 100 students of the school. These 25 students will receive lessons once per week and we have them sectorised, a whole sector goes on Monday, another sector on Tuesday, and they have class once a week”, explained Marisol Araneda Salazar, director of the rural school 'Dream House'.

Before entering the vehicle, students should measure their body temperature and don protective equipment. The van is also disinfected between one student and another to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
