How to Grill a Killer Steak on the Weber Q... Rib Steak (aka: Bone-in Rib-eye)
Today I'm showing you how to grill a killer steak with the Weber Q. And that starts with a rib steak (aka: bone-in rib-eye).
Ingredients:
1.5 inch thick rib steak (also called a bone-in rib-eye)
Salt
Pepper
Grapseed oil to season grill
Organic butter
Remove rib steak from refrigerator.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Let stand for close to an hour to come up to room temperature.
Preheat Weber Q for 10-12 minutes until it is piping hot.
Season grates with grapeseed oil or another high temperature oil.
Add the steak diagonally across the grates.
Close lid and grill over High heat.
After 2.5 minutes, turn steak 90 degrees.
Close lid.
After 2.5 minutes, turn steak over.
Admire your cross hatch grill marks.
Close lid.
Grill on second side for 5-6 minutes.
Remove steak.
Place a couple slices of butter on top of the steak.
Cover lightly with aluminum foil.
Let steak rest for 10 minutes so juices flow through the meat.
Serve with French fries, salad and red wine.
*Cook times will vary depending on thickness of steak and desired doneness.
Enjoy!
