The celebrity chef and his wife and five kids moved to their second home in Cornwall to isolate during the coronavirus lockdown. But Cornwall locals are reportedly furious at Ramsay for leaving London, with members of a local Facebook group saying the family has risked spreading the virus. Others threatened to reveal Ramsay’s address if he does not leave. “The big s*** should take himself and his family the hell out of Cornwall,” one said, according to The Sun. “He’s swanning around the shops as if nothing is wrong. He’s had pool engineers over. There is no defence at all,” said another. A third added: “Wealthy second homers think making a few quid means they are immune from the virus and any rules. They are arrogant at this best of times, this has shown how bad some of them are.” Standard Online understands the Ramsay family arrived at their Cornwall address on Friday, March 20. The family frequently spends time together there and Jack, the Ramsays' eldest son, lives at the house full time. It’s not the first time Ramsay has found himself in hot water since coronavirus began to take hold of Britain. The chef was slammed in March after 500 staff employed in his restaurants were being laid off with a month’s pay. One employee wrote on Facebook: “Such a shame to see how the company that you worked for and gave everything you had for 2 years throw you away like you are nothing but a little piece of s*** specially in difficult times like this even though they have absolutely nothing to lose by keeping you. “And I'm not taking about one person here, over 500 people lost their jobs yesterday so all I can say is thank you @gordongram @gordonramsayrestaurants.” Ramsay hit back at critics on Twitter, responding to a restaurant reviewer by writing: “You’ve clearly have never run a business, and yet across these very difficult times for all, you hide behind your pathetic tweets, get a grip will you !!! "Cheap shots again and again from a bitter egotistical critic yawn!” [sic]
