1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Restomod Stock #108 Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas
For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a meticulously restomoded 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. This is the car that everyone wants. Classic, unmistakable American Muscle lines mated with modern, powerful, reliable running gear. New school ride, old school cool. The lucky donor vehicle was an original California black plate 327 Camaro RS. It was chosen for its desirable factory options, unique blue on blue color combo, and a solid California body. The non-matching 327 and 2 speed Powerglide were ditched, and a brand new LS2 GM crate engine was installed with 0 miles. This was mated to a completely rebuilt 4L60E running to the original 12 bolt positrac rear end with 3.31 gears. Naturally, this has been rebuilt as well. Evacuating the exhaust gasses are ceramic coated Hooker headers, running to a 2” Magnaflow X pipe and muffler. An all new suspension was installed including a rebuild 3rd Gen IROC steering rack, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, adjustable front springs, and Detroit Speed leaf springs. The paint is new 2 stage PPG basecoat/clearcoat and is the correct code “F” Marina Blue. This body is laser straight, with hours of painstaking block sanding performed to get a glass smooth. Full quarters were installed, along with the back tail panel, and replacement front sheet metal to eliminate the need for filler.
The interior has had a complete factory style deluxe. The seat frames were blasted and repainted, and all new foam and padding. The dash pad, carpet, mirror, everything is new. All of the glass is new. The Rally Sport hideaway head lights have been completely rebuilt and the vacuum system replaced with electric motors. We can keep going with this vehicle, but suffice to say it has become a brand new 1967 Camaro.
