4D/3N Luxury Trip to Kerala - Munnar, Kumarakom & Alleppey Tour
We decided to go on a small family trip to Kerala. We took the flight on Jan 25th, 2020 from Delhi to Kochi, booked Zoom Car for the entire trip (they charged about ₹ 7,500 excluding fuels for Hyundai i20 for 4 days). Places we covered:
Munnar (2 Days & 2 Nights) - We walked through Tea Gardens, covered Sevenmallay Tea Estate, Mattupetty Dam, Photo Point in Munnar, Echo Point, Tata Tea Museum and Top Station.
Kumarakom (Overnight Stay): Boat Ride in Backwater. Enjoyed Amazing View from Hotel Only.
Alleppey (1 Day): Arabic Sea (2 Hours), Shikara Ride in Backwater (About 4 Hours)
Hotels we had Booked:
Munnar - Ragamaya Resort & Spa (Charged ₹12,600 for 2 nights) - About 20 KMs from Munnar but totally secluded. Highly recommended for those looking to spend some quality time with family. Great hospitality and a wide range of food options available (North Indian and South Indian both)
Kumarakom - Paradise Resort (Charged ₹4,500 for 1 night) - Not recommended. Old building, non-responsive staff but an amazing view of the backwater. There are many resorts in the same area. You may go with any of them.
Total Spending:
Hotels: About ₹17,000
Flights: About ₹ 12,000 (for 2 Adults and 1 Child up down both from New Delhi to Kochi. This is because we had redeemed credit card points. Normally it would cost about ₹30,000 for 3 passengers on average)
Zoomcar: ₹7,500
Fuel Cost: ₹2,000
Boat Ride: ₹5,000 (Including Kumarakom & Alleppey both)
Other Expenses (Food, Shopping, etc.): About ₹10,000
Since it was not a budget trip so we had to spend about ₹55,000 even after redeeming my credit card points (that gave me about ₹18,000 discount). Otherwise, we would have ended the trip with anything about ₹70,000 to ₹75,000.
