The CDC recently changed its guidelines to say that everyone should wear some form of a cloth face covering in public places. If buying a mask or sewing one isn't ideal for you, it's surprisingly easy and Amanda Perna walks us through the steps to make a DIY face mask with materials you already have at home.
How To Make A No-Sew Face Mask With Hair Ties
**STEPS**
00:20 Find a piece of cotton fabric, 22" x 22"
00:30 Place paper coffee filter in the center of the fabric. (optional)
00:40 Fold fabric towards the center from the top and bottom, ends meeting at the center.
00:48 Add a twist tie for support in the center and about 1/4 of the way down from the top.
01:00 Fold fabric again over twist tie from top towards the center and then the bottom end towards the center meeting the edges at the center.
01:07 Loop hair ties over the unfolded long ends of each side of the fabric where your ears will be.
01:24 Fold fabric ends from the left and right towards the center securing and folding over the hair ties.
01:30 Tuck one fabric end into the other where they overlap.

2 elastic hair ties
1 piece of tightly-woven cotton fabric measuring 22" x 22".

04:40 Take the top ties and secure on the back of head and tie into a bow.
