Stretched Out Succulents: The cause and fix
Have you noticed your succulents starting to grow tall and stretch out a bit? It happens to the best of us. Follow along as I show you what causes stretching and how you can fix it. Be sure to watch to the end for my tips on how to prevent stretching in the future!
To start, look over your succulent arrangement and decide what you want to cut off.
Use sharp, sterile scissors to behead anything that is stretched, or that you want to be smaller and more compact.

Pull out any dead plants, and remove any dead leaves.
Be sure to keep a few leaves from the base of the plants! New rosettes will grow there.
After you've pruned your succulent back, you can fill in any gaps with cuttings you took, or others you have on hand. Be sure to let the cuttings dry out and callous over for a few days before placing them in the arrangement.

Succulents need to be acclimated to a new environment gradually. Move your succulents into an area that is getting more light if it was stretched out, but be sure it doesn't burn.
You can now water your refreshed arrangement like you would any other arrangement!
