There have been a few great videos lately on making Wooden Hand Planes by some of my favourite channels.
James Wright from Wood by Wright and Rex Krueger ran a challenge for each other to make a Wooden Plane and the results are superb :) I will link to each of their videos below
Neil from Pask Makes also made a couple of fantastic Wooden Hand Planes :) Link to his videos below
Regular viewers to my channel will know that I love to make my own tools and a while ago I made a Mini Wooden Hand Plane and a few people requested a how to make video, so here it is :)
I will be making full sized Hand Plane in the future, but these will have to do for now :) They are great fun to make and should be manageable for a beginning woodworker. There is a little bit of metal work involved in making the Plane Iron, but it is not too difficult.

I like the idea of making my own Tools, especially if it is a Tool that is not easily found or readily available. Handmade Tools give great satisfaction and for me it is fun knowing that I created something to help me better improve my woodworking experience.
