In this video I explain 3 beginner calisthenics skills that everyone should pursue as soon as they start. Calisthenics skill training is when you branch out beyond the basic calisthenics exercises (push ups, pull ups, dips, squats, lunges) and start learning unique movements that require frequent practice.
The 3 skills I recommend in this video are the frog stand, tucked front lever and L-sit. These skill are great for beginner training. If you've been following my channel and seen my beginner calisthenics workout routine, you know I recommend having "active rest days" on the days you don't do the circuits. Well, these skills are perfect to practice on those active rest days.

Also note that each of the 3 skills work different scapular movements: frogstand - protraction, tucked front lever - retraction, L-sit - depression. Since these are all using different movements of the shoulder girdle, you can work them all in the same routine without one affecting the progress of another too much. See? There's a method to my madness :)
