Impact of COVID-19 on fashion and beauty retailers
At least one major fashion retailer, that owns labels like Superdry, Marc Jacobs and La Senza in Singapore, has said it does not rule out the possibility of closing some of its stores. That is if the current renegotiation of rental contracts falls through. This comes as fashion giant Inditex, which owns brands like Zara, said it is shutting more than 1,200 stores globally.
