3 Ways A Virtual Cooking Class Get Kids to cook and eat more vegetables
With parents at home, online LIVE learning is the BEST way to get kids to improve their diet, expand their palate and live a healthier life. Here we dive into what is a virtual cooking class, how it can be BETTER than an in-person after-school class and what to expect.

An online virtual cooking class is a DIFFERENT experience than our in-person lesson taught by LIFT Enrichment Chef Teachers. That being said, there are 3 key differences that, in some ways, make the virtual cooking class BETTER
1). You get to COOK along with a live Chef Teacher!
At home, parents and kids can use simple, everyday ingredients to make healthy meals like Veggie Quesadillas, Crunchy Ground Turkey Tacos and more!
Instead of just watching a cooking class, you get to INTERACT and ENGAGE with a Chef! Kids love that the chef will get to know them, talk to them and teach them health, culture and culinary techniques
2). You get to BOND with your kids in the kitchen!
In a virtual class, we encourage families to cook together during the lesson! Each recipe is designed to yield a wonderful meal for parents and kids.
When you cook with your kids, you also create a memory of the experience. It's a great way to bond, and looking back, kids will remember those good times in the kitchen.
3). You get kids to EAT more vegetables!
When kids cook, they are MORE likely to eat vegetables in the food!
Rather than bribe or threaten kids to eat vegetables, if you follow a recipe by our Chef Teachers, kids will actually take at least one bite. Why? Because they helped make the dish!
Our Chef Teachers are kind of like a fun "uncle or aunt" that earns the trust of kids over time through a series of delicious culinary lessons. As a parent, you know it can be tricky to get kids to eat zucchini or bell peppers, but when their favorite Chef shows them how to make a veggie quesadilla with sauteed bell peppers, they are likely to try it!
