Hi,
In this video we will show you how to make a beautiful Stilt House using cardboard and sticks. This DIY project is from Types of Houses Series. It took around 4-5 Hrs to make this model. You can use any cardboard available and bamboo sticks / broom sticks or any similar sticks.
We bought small bamboo sticks (50 pieces) for INR 20 from the market. One mat for INR 15, which we used for making roof as shown in the video.
Stilt houses are houses raised on piles over the surface of the soil or a body of water. Stilt houses are built primarily as a protection against flooding, and they also keep out vermin. The shady space under the house can be used for work or storage.
Material Required:
- Cardboard
- Hot glue gun with glue stick. You can buy online from Amazon, Snapdeal etc. Just check reviews and buy good one. Price will be around 200-500 INR.
- Grass broom sticks / Barbecue skewers/ Bamboo sticks (You can get it online @ Amazon)
- Scissor, Pencil, sketch pens, White glue/fevicol etc
