World environment day is just a small reminder that we need to care more about our planet and surroundings. One way carmakers are trying to make mobility cleaner is with electric cars. India may not be completely ready for EVs just yet, but that isn’t stopping the launches. From the Hyundai Kona and MG eZS to the Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Altroz, there’s more electric car options in India now than ever before. But no matter how many green cars we add to Indian roads, there’s one form of pollution that’s showing no signs of dropping - noise pollution. So, it’s time to recognise the fact that we as a country have an addiction to honking and unless we make the decision to just be patient & use the horn only when necessary, every car, no matter the fuel is a big polluter.
