Boiled penne pasta tossed in spicy indian onion tomato masala.

INDIAN PASTA

Ingredients

2 cups boiled penne pasta
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 medium tomato, finely chopped
1½ teaspoons coriander powder
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon chaat masala
1 small carrot, peeled and cut into small pieces
¼ cup green peas, boiled
Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onion and sauté til onion turns translucent.
2. Add tomato and sauté till soft. Add coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder and chaat masala and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Add 2-3 tablespoons, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add carrot and green peas, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Add pasta, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle some water, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
5. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
