In this Behind Closed Doors episode, we talk in depth about arguments in relationships. Contrary to popular belief, arguing is not always of a sign that a couple are experiencing relationship problems. What's most important is that you learn how to resolve conflict in relationships so that you can move forward together as a stronger couple. In other words, arguing in relationships can actually help you to build healthy relationships if you learn how to argue well. Its important that, in the midst of your anger and frustrating while arguing, that you see your partner for who they are, for the person you fell in love with and not the thorn in your side. Keeping perspective in arguments and not dehumanising the other person is imperative in when learning how to argue in a relationship. Additionally, make sure you know your triggers. Argument triggers in relationships can cause disproportionate reactions to situation and hurt the other person. It's important to know yourself, know what triggers you and learn how to exercise self control in these moments. For us, especially as an interracial couple with different upbringings, we've had to work really hard to learn how to communicate well and how to argue well. The relationship advice we've received has really helped and so we made a video about it. Hopefully this video equips you with the dating advice, marriage advice & relationship help needed to support your relationship. So instead of wanting to learn how to stop arguing with your partner, let's learn how to argue in a relationship in a way that is beneficial for all involved.
