Here is a quick and easy recipe on how to grill trout (or salmon) on the BBQ, and make your own marinade.

Ingredients
▪️ ½ sweet onion, sliced thin then diced
▪️ 1 large or 2 small cloves of garlic, minced
▪️ 1 tbsp fresh (or dried) parsley
▪️ Juice of 1 lemon
▪️ 1 ½ TSP paprika
▪️ 1 TSP salt
▪️ 8 TBSP olive oil

Process
▪️ Mix above ingredients in a bowl – this is your marinade (brine)
▪️ Brush the brine on both sides of the trout, and inside the belly as well
▪️ Pour remaining brine over the trout and let stand for 15 – 30 minutes
▪️ Flip the trout over and let stand for another 15 – 30 minutes
▪️ Pre-heat your BBQ
▪️ Then set BBQ to med heat (or low depending on your grill)
▪️ Brush your grill rack with a light oil rub (this will help avoid the fish from sticking)
▪️ Place the whole trout on the grill and close the lid, cook for 8 – 12 mins (cooking time varies depending
on the size of fish and grill temp)
▪️ Then flip the whole trout and cook on the other side for 8 – 12 mins (cooking time varies)
▪️ Once the meat is white and flakey, it is done
▪️ Serve immediately, and garnish with lemon wedges, feel free to squeeze lemon on to trout
▪️ Enjoy
