How to Create a Comic Book Style Mini using a Notan Study
In this video we create a more comic book minis but use a new technique called Notan. Notan is a way to view something and analyze its composition, specifically its light and dark values. The goal is to use this study and see if this could help us create the correct shadows and light we need on a mini. We dive into what is Notan, how to create your own, and how we can apply it to mini painting. Plus we use a new mini from the Crisis Protocol game, Baron Zemo. This was a fun experiment and it opened up a lot of good analysis about mini painting.
