Fantastic Swing Away Hitch and Bike Rack for Electric Bikes or Fat Tire Mountain Bikes

Today we take a look at a fantastic way to carry your electric bike or fat tire bike. You might have an amazing electric bike or fat tire mountain bike... but now the problem is how to carry it? And even more important how do you access the rear of your vehicle and still be able to open the the back doors of the van?

The Swing Away Hitch in this video is the Kuat Pivot Swing Away Extension. One drawback of a regular mounted bike rack is the maneuverability. With a swing away extension the arm attaches with any 2-inch rack to hold your rack, it also swings those bikes out of the way if you need access to gear in the back of your van.

Or instead of a bike rack you could instead attach a cargo carrier onto the swing away hitch.It can hold up to 250 lbs when loaded. It swings a full 90-degrees and it has a anti-locking anti-rattle hitch pin.

The bike rack is the Overdrive Sport 2-Bike Hitch Mounted Rack. It has an anti-wobble system and a mechanism utilizes a system to eliminate slack between the receiver and the rack. It also tilts and adjusts easily.
