While seeking inspiration on the shores of town to kickstart her writing career, Ivy discovers an unfortunate surge of homeless, starving animals. She decides to fund her Critter Cottage, a shelter for pets who need love and care - and her home is already buzzing with life! Sapling, a tiny kitten, appears at her doorstep, and a dog in a shark costume captures her heart long before she even starts writing her first book.
