Tesla Model S P90D Ludicrous Mode vs Unsuspecting 'drag cars' HD
My very first trip to the track with the Ludicrous Tesla. According to dragtimes.com, this was also the fastest recorded Tesla trap speed. I doubt the record holds for more than a few days.
I'm usually found racing high horsepower imports such as Alpha 16 GTR, Single Turbo FC/FD Rx-7's, etc. I'm IHRA licensed, but I spend equal time between road courses and drag racing.
I would say the grail that every Tesla owner seeks today is a genuine 10 second E/T in the wild. Based on my two passes, I am confident this is possible. I have learned a great deal from my short trip, and will return with new ideas and ammunition. As I said above, I fully expect someone else to beat me to this. The ingredients are all there; we just need to assemble them together. What amazed me the most was the consistency of runs. This is very rewarding to the racer, as user changes will be immediately apparent. I need more runs, and more data to confirm my ideas.
I will happily share the secrets with all Tesla owners once I have a perfected technique. I am not a tree hugger, but I am certainly an ambassador for the EV. Elon has proven that we can have it all. Unprecedented performance and environmental responsibility. I could leave all of my gas/turbo vehicles behind and never miss them. This is only the beginning... there is so much more to come for all of us. Pretty darn cool that the electric vehicle is here and... IT DOES NOT SUCK the way we all thought it could have. Anyone want to buy a 7 second GTR to help fund my EV adventures?
