Hey, Welcome to the Alpha Male Blueprint! Today we are going to check out the top 5 luxury yachts on the face of the planet!
As the wealthiest people in the world look for a way to spend their fortune, the luxury yacht has become the ultimate status symbol. Billionaires compete with each other to go bigger and better AND BIGGER.
Here is our guide to the top 5 yachts in the world.
Project Omar – Over $300 Million
Little is known about the 156 meter project Omar except that it is scheduled to launch in 2016 and just recently finished it’s first sea trial in early March. Project Omar, which is rumored to soon be renamed Dilbar, was reportedly ordered by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov. Usmanov is also the owner of the superyacht Ona which was formerly named Dilbar but recently had it’s name changed to make way the new super vessel. Dilbar means “lovely or sweetheart” in Hindi
The Al Said – Price $300 Million
Al Said was named after its owner Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said of Oman. Little is known about this yacht and rumor has it that a picture has never been taken of it’s interior. This mysterious vessel cost a cool $300 million to build and can apparently accommodate up to 70 people. Which doesn’t include the 150+ crew members needed to run the supership. Inside one can expect all the latest amenities and apparently there’s even a concert hall capable of accommodating an orchestra
The Dubai – reported cost $350 million
Launched in 2006, this megayacht is owned by His Highness Sheik Mohammed Rashid al-Maktoum the ruler of Dubai. This is a super-yacht spanning 7 decks with an incredible interior featuring stunning mosaics and fine fabrics. On board this luxury liner are several Jacuzzis, sunbathing areas and a swimming pool boasting beautiful handmade tiling.
At the heart of this ship is a stunning, showpiece staircase featuring glass steps that light up and change color.. It also features VIP suites capable of housing 115 guests and staff and comes with your standard helipad.
Azzam – reported cost $650 million
The Azzam is owned by the President of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Abu Dhabi. This 590 foot beast is truly a mega-yacht and the largest in the world. It can fly through the water at speeds of up to 30 knots and is an engineering marvel having been built in only 3 years! A world-class team was personally assembled and directed in all areas of development of this sophisticated project by Eng. Mubarak Saad al Ahbabi.
The designer is Christophe Leoni from France but much of the other details about the yacht are shrouded in typical Arabian secrecy. It just adds to the appeal! Rumors estimate that yearly upkeep on a ship of this size could cost up to $65 Million!
Eclipse – reported costs $1.5 billion
This is a huge yacht at 536 feet long and the fact that it is so large means that so much luxury has been added to the yacht for the owner Roman Abramovich – the Russian oligarch and owner of Chelsea Football Club.
It is filled with all of the trappings of success and boasts swimming pools, hot tubs and even a disco hall. Who wouldn’t want to own this? A crazy cool feature is the fact that the eclipse has its own mini submarine that can dive from the yacht.
As you would expect with any yacht owned by a billionaire, security is a major feature. It has armour plating and bullet proof windows to protect the owner and his guests.
So, which one of the 5 super-yachts would you choose? And why are the interiors of these super vessels being kept so secret and not shown to the public?
