Electric bikes in India are still commuter-oriented.
Harley-Davidson LiveWire sound is not the same as its other V-twin cruisers.
Lightning LS-218 top speed is 218mph which makes it the fastest electric bike.
Zero SR/F top speed is claimed to be in excess of 200kmph.
KTM’s electric dirt bike is Freeride E-XC.
Its World Environment Day today and going electric is the way forward. Here are five fast bikes that we want to see in India. Harley-Davidson LiveWire was first shown in production form at 2018 EICMA. There is no V-twin sound but new whooshing experience. Zero SR/F has a claimed top speed of more than 200kmph. It gets top-spec Showa, J-Juan and Pirelli components. Lightning LS-218 is the fastest electric bike in the world as it clocked 218mph (350kmph) at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 2011. KTM made an electric dirt bike called the Freeride E-XC. Apart from being a zippy trail bike, it is also road legal. Lastly, Alta Motors made an electric competition-ready supermoto with the Redshift SM. It can pull off crazy wheelies on road and, after small modifications, can go racing as well.
