How To Cut Your Dogs Paws 3 Controlled Holding Methods | By 2 Vets
To review the dog nail clippers on Amazon go to www.dog-nail-clippers-the-best.com
How to restrain your dog for nail clipping.
In this video we review the nail clipping process then demonstrate on a live dog 3 methods of gentle restraint.
Please review the whole video and practice each method of restraint for dog nail clipping or claw trimming carefully. The main idea is for you to practice on your pet first before actually clipping his or her nails.
Safety is very important all dogs can bite if suddenly frightened and if in any doubt consult your grooming professional or vet, and ideally place a muzzle on your pet.
However we have clipped dogs nails for over 30 years with no injuries but we always asses each pet carefully and provide adequate safe gentle restraint.
We are also doing a second methods video for the more nervous pet on how to securely gently and safely restrain your dog for nail cutting.
The whole process should be fun and simple and ideally you just clip a small bit of nail each time, little and often always wins on nail clipping.
We all hope you enjoy the video and good luck with your dog nail clipping, remember the secret is a good pair of tools, using a very sharp, easy to hold, non slip pair of dog nail clippers and a gently restrained or controlled dog. All pets are different.
