How to make a Name Plate | DIY Hand Made Paper Mache | Home Decor | Kreena Desai
Newspapers and cardboards are lying around our house on a daily basis! Follow along with me through this quick and easy tutorial that will help you make the best use of waste products. I am excited to see what you guys create so don't forget to send me pictures of the final product and tag me on my Instagram. For better clarity refer to the tips and tricks below!!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Cardboard
- Newspaper
- Acrylic Paint and Brush
- Transparent Yarn
- Clay
- Scissors & Glue
- Pencil/Marker
TIPS & TRICKS:
- Before you glue the paper mache onto the cardboard, make sure the you have squeezed out all the excess water.
- Let the paper mache dry over night and paint on it once it is completely dry.
- While painting the letters with gold paint, you might end up painting the name plate as well, so keep some brown paint handy to rectify the mistakes.
- If you feel like the glue isn't strong enough to hold all the pieces together then you can stick a piece of cardboard on the backside once the entire design is made, in order to make it sturdy and long lasting.
