Sweat-Proof Your Makeup With SuperStay | The Makeup Loft

No matter the event; festival season, a wedding or just a really hot day - you’re going to need long-lasting makeup that rises to the occasion. Janelle Han rounds up her favourite long-wear products (ahem, SuperStay) to create a super easy day look in a few steps. Watch as Janelle then takes us through a wear test, with her base lasting through 3 hours of exercise!

The first step is to make sure your face is properly moisturised. This helps prevent caking and flaking throughout the day. Next, Janelle goes in with Maybelline Face Studio Hydrating Primer to minimise pores and create an even base. For matte foundation with serious staying power, Janelle opts for SuperStay 24HR Foundation. Because it’s a full coverage foundation, Janelle recommends using a slightly damp sponge for application so its easier to blend into the skin.

With concealer, she applies a little more than usual to increase its staying power. She dabs SuperStay 24HR Under-eye Concealer around her eyes and forehead and blends with a sponge. Locating the hollows of her cheeks, she brushes on City Bronzer in an upward motion to accentuate her natural contour.

Now, on to baking. It’s a tried and tested technique for setting makeup. Make sure to focus on areas that tend to be the most oily, it’s best to avoid baking dry skin. Janelle places Fit Me Loose Powder on her T-zone and around her nose. Master Chrome adds an extra layer of sparkle to her cheekbones.

Janelle expertly freehands a dramatic winged eye using Tattoo Liner Gel Pencil and layers on mascara. SuperStay Matte Ink in ‘Driver’ creates a perfect nude lip. The final step - lock in the entire look with Lasting Fix Setting Spray.
