What to look for in a drone under $300?

Battery life - Over 15 minutes is recommended, especially since this is already a price point where the camera is very capable of capturing good quality footage.

Drone Range - Over 500m is good enough to allow you to follow moving events and explore a bit.

Camera - Necesarily over 1080p in resolution, but with good quality sensor and at least a 2 axis gimbal or the ability to move the camera angle.

Brushless Motors - These motors are more expensive yet more durable than the brushed ones, all drones on this list have them.
These drones are starting to get better and better the closer we get to the $500 price point.
