And so the season begins. Neiksans Rally Sport off to a solid start in Rallysprint Alūksne as our crew Jānis Berķis/ Edgars Čeporjus finished third, whilst our coach Māris Neikšāns co-driven by Anrijs Jesse – in fourth.
A well-rounded rally for Jānis Berķis (Evo IX), who pulled off a podium finish! For sure a great warm-up before the fight for the Latvian Rally Championship title kicks off next week!
It has been a while, but coach Māris Neikšāns was back in action this weekend, finishing in stunning 4th overall. Here is what he had to say: “Amazing rally, what can I say?!? I enjoyed each and every bit of it from start to finish. Even though it was my first rally with Anrijs, and we were driving cautiously, we managed to set some Top3 stage times. And we did that with a Production Evo IX, whilst our competitors were driving more powerful S2000’s, R4’s, R5’s, or Group A cars. So good to be back!”
