This video demonstrates how I make videos with audio synced up in post using iMovie. The audio is recorded separately and edited using Garageband for best sound quality. I picked up the EDIROL R-09 in 2007 for around $300. I think they have something newer now by Roland, or you can buy any other brand of recorder like mine as well.
