How to make log furniture with tenon & mortise connections but without expensive tenon & mortise specialty tools. As an example, I make a small log stool out of juniper logs and a fir seat using a hole saw and an adjustable wood drill bit (tools & materials used linked below). Note that I couldn't find the exact hole saw kit I used but the one below should work for a 1" tenon and is very reasonably priced.
