1)Make sure the performance (What you are recording) is high quality

2) Reduce or eliminate the Noise (Hiss, hum, buzzing, static noise)

4) Using EQ and De essing to improve the balance and deal with bad frequencies.

5) Make sure that your cables and interface are not introducing hiss and other problems. Check that your cables are not worn out or buzzing. Try to invest in shielded cables and a good quality interface to get the best sound possible. Be careful with electronic equipment, keep phones and power cables away from audio cables
